Design, develop, configure and support Salesforce Experience Cloud solutions that deliver secure, scalable and intuitive digital experiences for customers, partners and colleagues. The role focuses on building portals, self-service journeys and onboarding capabilities that integrate with Salesforce core capabilities and wider enterprise platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Salesforce Experience Cloud sites, portals and digital self-service experiences.
- Configure Experience Builder, templates, branding, navigation, audiences, permissions and page layouts.
- Build Lightning Web Components, Apex services, Salesforce Flows and reusable UI components.
- Integrate portal experiences with Salesforce CRM data, APIs and enterprise services.
- Collaborate with UX, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Architects to translate requirements into usable customer journeys.
- Apply Salesforce security models, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets and secure data access patterns.
- Participate in peer reviews, unit testing, defect remediation, deployment readiness and production support.
- Contribute to release management, DevOps, CI/CD and environment progression activities.
Required technical skills
Skill area: Salesforce platform. Required capability: Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Flows, validation rules and Salesforce configuration. Intermediate expectation: Can deliver assigned features independently and troubleshoot common platform issues.
Skill area: Experience Cloud. Required capability: Experience Builder, templates, themes, navigation, audiences and security. Intermediate expectation: Can build and enhance customer or partner portals with guidance from senior specialists.
Skill area: Security. Required capability: Profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, roles and external user access. Intermediate expectation: Understands secure portal access patterns and escalates complex security designs.
Skill area: Integration. Required capability: REST/SOAP APIs, JSON and integration troubleshooting. Intermediate expectation: Can consume and expose services with support from integration and architecture teams.
Skill area: DevOps. Required capability: Git, feature branches, pull requests and Salesforce deployment tools. Intermediate expectation: Follows agreed branching, code review and deployment standards.
Functional experience
- Customer onboarding, self-service, case capture or servicing journeys.
- Digital portal or authenticated web experience delivery.
- Financial services or enterprise customer-facing platform experience is advantageous.
