Educational Qualifications:
- Matric
- Certificate in Sales or relevant fields (NQF 5)
Experience:
- Up to 3 years as a Sales Representative or similar role within the Retail environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Computer Literacy (Basic MS Office; SAP, ERP Systems, and other job-specific software systems)
- Knowledge of Sales principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Duties:
- Sales Operations: Source new sales opportunities and close sales to meet departmental goals.
- Increase company revenue through client management, lead generation, and sales of products and services.
- Research competition and monitor market activities to position the company advantageously.
- Forecast sales, develop sales strategies, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Build and maintain productive relationships based on client needs.
- Track and report sales activities regularly to stakeholders.
- Maintain and grow the client base in the assigned sales area.
- Participate in meetings, sales events, and training sessions to stay updated.
- Identify and develop new customer accounts based on viability.
- Monitor monthly sales per customer using the Sales Management process.
- Analyze sales data from the ERP system and implement corrective actions if necessary.
- Provide monthly activity feedback to the Regional Manager.
- Introduce new marketing ideas and align customer strategies with company marketing efforts.
- Host trade evenings and entertainment to promote products and strengthen customer relations.
- Lead promotional activities to expand the customer base and market share.
- Assist with the credit application process.
- Collaborate with Debtors to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts, maintaining debts under 45 days.
- Resolve customer queries in collaboration with Debtors.
- Manage high-risk customers proactively and coordinate action plans with Debtors.
- Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained according to policy.
- Attend monthly meetings with the Regional Manager for business updates.
- Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure stock availability and resolve queries.
- Assist with the stock management process, including forecasting and replenishment.
- Monitor claims stock and assist customers in stock management.
- Operate within controls and procedures to ensure company integrity and report risks or concerns.
- Promote compliance with regulations and prevent wasteful expenditure.
- Maintain high-quality customer service and effective relationships with staff and clients.
- Identify and solve problems with integrity, following company values.
- Conduct regular discussions with stakeholders to resolve customer queries.
- Provide product and pricing training to customers and update customer information regularly.
- Support cost control by managing resources efficiently, monitoring gross profit, and reducing operational costs.
