Experience:

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Computer Literacy (Basic MS Office; SAP, ERP Systems, and other job-specific software systems)
  • Knowledge of Sales principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Duties:

  1. Sales Operations: Source new sales opportunities and close sales to meet departmental goals.
  2. Increase company revenue through client management, lead generation, and sales of products and services.
  3. Research competition and monitor market activities to position the company advantageously.
  4. Forecast sales, develop sales strategies, and evaluate their effectiveness.
  5. Build and maintain productive relationships based on client needs.
  6. Track and report sales activities regularly to stakeholders.
  7. Maintain and grow the client base in the assigned sales area.
  8. Participate in meetings, sales events, and training sessions to stay updated.
  9. Identify and develop new customer accounts based on viability.
  10. Monitor monthly sales per customer using the Sales Management process.
  11. Analyze sales data from the ERP system and implement corrective actions if necessary.
  12. Provide monthly activity feedback to the Regional Manager.
  13. Introduce new marketing ideas and align customer strategies with company marketing efforts.
  14. Host trade evenings and entertainment to promote products and strengthen customer relations.
  15. Lead promotional activities to expand the customer base and market share.
  16. Assist with the credit application process.
  17. Collaborate with Debtors to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts, maintaining debts under 45 days.
  18. Resolve customer queries in collaboration with Debtors.
  19. Manage high-risk customers proactively and coordinate action plans with Debtors.
  20. Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained according to policy.
  21. Attend monthly meetings with the Regional Manager for business updates.
  22. Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure stock availability and resolve queries.
  23. Assist with the stock management process, including forecasting and replenishment.
  24. Monitor claims stock and assist customers in stock management.
  25. Operate within controls and procedures to ensure company integrity and report risks or concerns.
  26. Promote compliance with regulations and prevent wasteful expenditure.
  27. Maintain high-quality customer service and effective relationships with staff and clients.
  28. Identify and solve problems with integrity, following company values.
  29. Conduct regular discussions with stakeholders to resolve customer queries.
  30. Provide product and pricing training to customers and update customer information regularly.
  31. Support cost control by managing resources efficiently, monitoring gross profit, and reducing operational costs.
