Job summary

Medtronic in Johannesburg invites applications for a 12-month Sales Operations internship starting November 2026. This full-time, field- and office-based program provides hands-on experience in commercial analytics, sales reporting, and process improvement.

You will analyze sales performance, build dashboards, maintain installed-base data, and collaborate with multiple internal teams while developing skills in Salesforce, Power BI, and data quality.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated with a degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data cleaning and basic dashboards, with strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be currently unemployed
• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be under the age of 30
• Must not have participated in a YES programme previously
• Should not be currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in postgraduate studies
• Commits to complete 12-month internship

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales performance by account, territory, and product portfolio to identify gaps and growth opportunities
• Prepare dashboards and reports on pipeline, forecasts, leads, RFQs, installed-base utilisation, and collections barriers
• Maintain accurate installed-base information and help identify equipment service, utilisation, and replacement opportunities
• Monitor customer and government RFQs, track deadlines, and support timely follow-up with sales owners
• Support customer queries and coordinate with Sales, Technical, Customer Care, Finance, Pricing, Service, and other internal stakeholders
• Improve Salesforce data quality, support Business WhatsApp lead management, and contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with Medtronic policies, data privacy, and approved processes

A Day in the Life

Join our Sales Operations team and gain hands-on experience supporting commercial analytics, sales reporting, and process improvement. In this role, you will work with data from across the business to help improve visibility of sales performance, customer activity, and operational issues. This internship offers a strong learning opportunity in a fast-paced environment, where you will contribute to day-to-day execution as well as longer-term improvements.

Internship Details

• Locations : Johannesburg
• Working hours: Full-time
• Work model: Field-based and office-based, with regular travel to customer facilities

Required Knowledge and Skills
