Job description

Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team based in Stellenbosch Campus.

Requirements:

  • Matric and relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management (beneficial).
  • 5+ years’ proven experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in academic advising or post-secondary education sales is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CRM knowledge and experience in lead management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships with multiple stakeholders (learners, parents, schools, partners).
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including some weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the sales team for the allocated campus/region.
  • Drive business development and build long-term client relationships with schools, learners, parents, and funding partners.
  • Business development and rapport building.
  • Sales strategy execution and client acquisition.
  • Database and lead generation with accurate statistical reporting.
  • Marketing initiatives to drive brand visibility and generate enrolments.
  • Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and marketing events to promote the brand and programmes.
  • Increase awareness, engagement, and enrolments through targeted campaigns.
  • Oversee and monitor lead generation, data collection, and conversion rates to achieve enrolment targets.
  • Manage sales budgets and track regional performance.
  • Provide sales training, support, and mentoring to team members.
  • Forecast and report on annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to implement initiatives, campaigns, and events.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and CRM updates.
  • Research competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage expenditures in line with allocated budgets.
  • Represent the campus professionally at expos, open days, and roadshows.

Development and Training:

  • Support the development of sales personnel through coaching and mentoring.
  • Encourage continuous learning and upskilling within the team.
  • Actively participate in training sessions and workshops for professional growth.

Reporting:

  • Prepare regular progress, forecast, and performance reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of stats, CRM updates, and other reporting requirements.
