Job summary

Tourismupdate in Cape Town is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to join our luxury hospitality sales and marketing team. Based in Cape Town, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with the travel trade and represent our portfolio of luxury hospitality products.

The role focuses on growing awareness and business within the Cape Town market, building partnerships with tour operators, DMCs and travel designers, and driving sales through regular calls, presentations and product updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in hospitality or tourism sales.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Hospitality or Tourism.
• Established relationships within Cape Town travel trade is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Professional, proactive and highly organised.
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with tour operators, DMCs, travel designers and key trade partners.
• Conduct regular sales calls, presentations and product updates.
• Attend trade workshops, networking events and industry functions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Assist with educational trips, site visits and trade hosting.
• Undertake occasional domestic and international travel as required.
• Maintain accurate sales activity and market feedback.
