The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in electrical engineering or technical sales, willingness to travel, and the ability to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with SEL customers and channel partners.
• Understand requirements and objectives; deliver the optimal SEL solution.
• Build and maintain knowledge of all SEL products and teach customers SEL technology.
• Develop, maintain and deliver quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
• Collect, analyze and report industry, competitor and customer trends to the organization.
• Collaborate to resolve customer feedback and product issues.
• Liaise between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships.
• Use business tools to maintain customer data, opportunity tracking and sales activities.

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, promoting our solutions, and providing exceptional service to our valued customers. We're looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team in Centurion, South Africa , helping utilities, industrial customers, and renewable energy developers build smarter, safer, and more reliable power systems.

As a Sales Engineer a typical day might include the following:

• Manage and develop relationships with SEL customers and channel partners.
• Understand the true requirements and objectives of customers. Determine, communicate and deliver the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.
• Building and maintain knowledge of all SEL products and teaching customers SEL technology and innovation.
• Develop, maintain and deliver upon quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
• Collect, analyze and report industry, competitor and customer trends to the greater SEL organization.
• Work collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer feedback and product issues.
• Liaise between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships.
• Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking and sales activities.

• Possess a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
• Have 3+years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environment
