Job summary

RecruitPartners seeks an experienced Sales Director to lead the commercial strategy for a manufacturing client. You will align sales initiatives with production capacity to optimise the profitable product mix across domestic and export markets, driving revenue growth and long-term market sustainability.

Lead Domestic, Regional and Export Sales teams; design pricing strategies; manage budgets; and provide strategic planning and analysis to support CAPEX decisions and annual planning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years in B2B sales.
• Strong leadership or general management experience.
• Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Strong commercial acumen and budgeting skills.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy

• Develop and implement sales strategies to optimise profitability and competitiveness.
• Analyse domestic market dynamics and identify opportunities for long-term product sustainability.
• Expand the product offering through strategic import opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.

Sales & Pricing

• Design and implement pricing strategies that balance profitability and customer value.
• Ensure alignment between sales plans and production capacity.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and high service levels.

Leadership

• Manage and guide Domestic, Regional and Export Sales teams.
• Ensure effective implementation of sales and customer strategies across markets.
• Work closely with production and logistics to ensure operational alignment.

Planning & Analysis

• Compile the annual sales budget to guide production and logistics planning.
• Analyse import statistics and support strategic decisions, including CAPEX planning.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification

Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
• At least 5 years’ experience in B2B sales
• Strong leadership or general management experience
