Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a driven SAIPA Trainee Accountant in Stellenbosch to support monthly management accounts and statutory reporting. You will work alongside senior accountants on multiple client portfolios, gaining hands-on exposure to VAT, PAYE and SARS submissions within a SAIPA-accredited training track.

The role requires a relevant BCom degree, strong analytical and communication skills, and the motivation to develop professionally in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting or BCom Financial Management (completed or final year).
• Strong academic background and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Own transport and valid driver’s license (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Perform reconciliations of bank, creditors, debtors, and other general ledger accounts.
• Capture financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Assist with VAT, PAYE, and SARS submissions and queries.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Work closely with senior accountants to support client portfolios.
• Maintain client confidentiality and ethical accounting practices.
• Ensure compliance with SAIPA training requirements.
