Job summary

Venus Security International (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment for employees, clients, and visitors, and includes inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

The successful candidate will lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, PPE monitoring, and training programs, while contributing to emergency preparedness and a strong safety

Qualifications

• Must hold relevant Safety Officer qualification or certification.
• Knowledge of OHS legislation and procedures; PSIRA Grade C preferred.
• Experience in a safety-related role is advantageous.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills.

• Assist with emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and drills.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Safety Officer qualification or certification.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and procedures. Minimum of PSIRA Grade C certificate.
• Previous experience in a safety-related role will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify risks and implement effective safety measures.
• Valid driver's licence will be an advantage, if applicable.
