Responsibilities

• Engage with customers via email, chat, and outbound calls regarding safer gambling.
• Conduct account reviews to assess gambling-related risk.
• Analyse flagged accounts from both safer gambling and AML perspectives.
• Handle complaints and escalation cases professionally.
• Monitor compliance inboxes and maintain SLA adherence.
• Escalate high-risk or complex cases appropriately.
• Document decisions clearly and accurately.
• Contribute to process improvements and team best practices.

The Role

Title: Safer Gambling Analyst

Team: Compliance - Safer Gambling

Location: Cape Town, South Africa (Full time office, 5 days per week)

Salary: R28,000 per month

This is an opportunity for individuals looking to step into a Safer Gambling role and build hands-on experience within Compliance. You will play a key role in protecting our players, engaging directly with customers, and making judgement-based decisions that impact both customer wellbeing and regulatory outcomes. This is an opportunity to develop new skills, gain exposure to compliance, and contribute meaningfully to a critical function within the business.

You will:

• Engage with customers via email, chat, and outbound calls regarding safer gambling.

• Has been with Midnite for at least 6 months and has demonstrated consistent performance.
• Is in good standing and not currently under performance management.
• Has aligned with their current manager, with support for this secondment opportunity.
• Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and sound judgement.
• Is highly detail-oriented with strong decision-making ability.
• Is motivated to step into a new challenge and develop within Compliance.
