Job summary

MECS Africa is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a poultry/food processing site in a rural South African setting. You will lead the maintenance team, plan and execute preventative maintenance, and ensure health and safety compliance across operations.

The role requires 5+ years in a management position within meat/poultry processing or a high-throughput facility, with strong mechanical/electrical maintenance knowledge and the ability to develop training materials for staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in engineering or equivalent is preferred.
• Tertiary qualification from a recognized institution is required.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance knowledge is essential.
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and food-processing hygiene requirements.
• Ability to write training manuals and conduct training.
• Good command of English and willingness to learn local practices.
