Job summary

Edgexec (Pty) Ltd in South Africa is seeking a Driver Salesman to deliver bakery products on an assigned route, selling on the go and maintaining customer service excellence. You will combine driving with sales, stock control, cash handling, and route planning.

You’ll be on the road daily, building lasting customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and ensuring deliveries are safe, on time, and in full. A PrDP and Code 10 licence are required, with 1–2 years’ relevant driving experience.

Qualifications

• Matric and valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PrDP.
• Minimum 1–2 years of professional Code 10 driving experience.
• Previous sales or route sales experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bakery products safely and on schedule.
• Achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify new customers and sales opportunities on route.
• Ensure timely deliveries, POD documentation, and cash handling.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Complete daily stock counts and reconcile stock.
• Supervise and support the Van Assistant while adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
