Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Solar Panel Installation Technician to join the Kimberley team. You will install PV panels, inverters, and electrical equipment on residential and commercial properties while following designs and safety standards.

You must read schematics, interpret blueprints, and perform wiring, testing, and commissioning. The role requires comfort working at heights and physical stamina, with a trade qualification as a strong asset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Solar Installer or Electrician or related role.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety procedures.
• Comfortable working on rooftops and at heights with a strong safety focus.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install PV panels, mounting hardware, inverters, and electrical equipment on residential/commercial properties.
• Read and interpret solar designs, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Perform electrical wiring and connections for solar systems per codes and safety standards.
• Conduct system testing and commissioning to verify operation and performance.
• Ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite and manage installation materials inventory.
