Job summary

Broll Property Group Pty Ltd is seeking a responsible operator to take charge of butt roll cutting on the manufacturing floor. The role includes TM1 & TM2 pulper operator training, temporary relief for bale press operators, and occasional shrink-wrapping duties with emphasis on safety, quality and GMP standards.

Candidates should have Matric and preferably a manufacturing qualification, plus forklift and clamp truck experience. Flexibility to work shifts and weekends is a plus.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) required.
• Technical/manufacturing qualification advantageous.
• Forklift and clamp truck licenses preferred.
• Computer literacy advantageous.
• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
• Exposure to pulp and paper operations advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety, quality, environment, housekeeping and GMP standards.
• Follow WI/SOP and daily production plan; maintain documentation.
• Record cut rolls and ensure accurate reporting.
• Conduct 3-hourly checks of converting rejects; liaise on cutting schedules.
• Operate butt cutting equipment safely; assist with felt and wire changes.
• Operate forklift and clamp truck; run shrink-wrapping machine when required.
• Maintain cutting tools; transport cores to core stores; report defects promptly.
• Ensure contractors comply with safety standards and keep 5S in the work area.
• Keep TM2 ramp clean and follow 5S housekeeping standards.
• Support shift cover and relieve operators as needed.
