Job summary

Salt Employee Benefits is seeking a meticulous Risk Claims Administrator for the Belville (Cape Town) office to join the Claims team. You will perform QA checks on monthly risk billing schedules, collate and process risk benefit claim packs, liaise with the risk re-insurer, clients and members to ensure accurate, compliant claims data.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Excel proficiency required
• Knowledge of FICA, POPIA & TCF principles
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Experience in employee benefits / claims administration (advantageous)
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end QA checks on monthly risk billing schedules and verify completeness of claim packs.
• Liaise with risk re-insurer, clients and members to resolve billing and documentation discrepancies.
• Ensure all claim documentation is complete, signed, and compliant with scheme requirements.
• Maintain accurate case notes and records in Everest system and ensure proper filing.
• Respond to internal/external queries promptly and escalate as needed within 24–48 hours.
• Meet daily production targets and maintain low error rate (<1%).
• Contribute to team support and cross-department collaboration; work overtime when required.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to support service delivery.
