Job summary

SFG Engineering Services is seeking a Rigger for our Saldanha operations. The role requires performing rigging and lifting tasks, inspecting gear, and supporting crane operators to position loads safely on site.

Minimum requirements include a valid rigging certification, proven rigging experience, and strong health and safety knowledge. The position is full-time and on-site at Saldanha.

Qualifications

• Valid Rigging certification or trade qualification.
• Proven experience in industrial or construction rigging operations.
• Strong knowledge of lifting equipment and rigging practices.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform rigging and lifting operations safely and efficiently.
• Inspect lifting equipment, rigging gear, and accessories before use.

• Interpret and follow lifting plans, procedures, and load charts.
