Job summary

The Foschini Group (TFG) Allocator role focuses on supporting the Merchandise Strategy through stock analysis and coordination with suppliers, stores, and the Distribution Centre to ensure timely stock delivery and optimal stock levels.

Key duties include monitoring performance, adjusting allocations, and supporting store launches, promotions, and seasonal events while collaborating with Planning, Buying and Supply Chain teams to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree or diploma.
• 1–2 years' experience in retail allocation, merchandise planning, or a related analytical role.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and replenish stock across stores based on sales trends and stock availability.
• Monitor product performance and recommend allocation adjustments.
• Support store launches, promotions, and seasonal trading events.
• Maintain optimal stock levels to maximize sell-through and minimize markdown risk.
• Analyse sales, stock, and inventory reports to identify opportunities.
• Partner with Planning, Buying, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.
