Key Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in retail property acquisition or development within large-format food retail environments
• Demonstrated experience sourcing sites nationally, including travel to and exposure within rural and outlying areas
• Strong understanding of South Africa’s geographic, demographic and retail landscape
• Solid experience in lease negotiations, deal structuring and landlord engagement
• Strong financial acumen, including feasibility analysis, yield calculations and ROI modelling
• Working knowledge of legal aspects of lease agreements and property contracts
• Established network within developers, landlords, brokers and property funds
• A relevant degree (Property, Commerce or related field) is essential
• Exposure to construction or development processes would be advantageous
