Job summary

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. As the frontline at till points, you will process POS transactions accurately and support cellular, credit, and service administration when downtime occurs.

Key requirements include Grade 12, 2–3 years in retail, basic MS Word/Excel skills, and knowledge of financial compliance. You will contribute to excellent customer service and store security.

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Experience: 2–3 years in retail.
• Finance/Admin: experience in financial administration or cash handling.
• Technical: basic MS Word and Excel; SAP experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge: understanding of financial compliance and store repair agreements.

Responsibilities

• Process POS transactions and cash ups per policy.
• Capture invoices electronically within 24 hours and attach to manual copies.
• Promote add-on sales on customer purchases.
• Ensure till points are secure and update passwords weekly.
• Handle cellular, credit, and lay-by sales; provide ancillary services.
• Coordinate customer repairs: log, dispatch, provide turnaround times.
