Job summary

Dis‑Chem Pharmacies seeks a Merchandiser for the Castle Gate store in the Gauteng Region. You will help ensure that basic merchandising standards are properly executed and maintained, while also providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include restocking, stock rotation (FIFO), keeping shelves and pricing accurate, and assisting customers. The role requires Grade 12, up to 6 months retail experience, MS Office skills, and willingness to work retail hours; advantageous: 1 year in

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Up to 6 months’ retail experience.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise to maximise sales.
• Ensure stock is stored and packed correctly and timely.
• Ensure stock on shelves has not reached sell-by date.
• Maintain full range of products on shelves at all times.
• Rotate stock on a FIFO basis.
• Report low stock, out-of-stock, damaged or expired stock to management.
• Assist with stock counts and general stocktaking.
• Adhere to store standards, layout and planograms.
• Ensure shelves are neatly presented with correct labels and pricing.
