Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking an experienced Health Merchandiser for their Somerset Mall store. Your duties include maintaining merchandising standards, stocking shelves, and delivering outstanding customer service.

You will ensure stock is rotated, displayed correctly, and accessible for customers. The role requires Grade 12, up to 6 months retail experience, MS Office literacy, and availability to work retail hours.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Up to 6 months’ retail experience.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Diploma or degree within health focus is advantageous.
• At least 1 year retail experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise as per business requirements.
• Ensure delivered stock is stored and packed correctly.
• Keep full range of products on shelves at all times.
• Rotate stock on FIFO basis.
• Assist with general stocktaking.
• Keep shelves and displays neatly presented with correct labels and pricing.
• Maintain merchandising displays and stock in store/stock room.
• Assist with back shopping and respond to customer stock queries.

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric

• Diploma or degree within the Health Focus category
• At least 1 year retail experience

Job Specification…

• Restock merchandise as per business requirements.
• Ensure delivered stock/stock pulled from the store room, is stored and packed in the correct space.
• Ensure full range of products is on the shelves at all times.
• Facilitate rotation of stock on a regular, First In First Out basis.
• Assist with general stocktaking.
• Ensure front shop shelves and products are neatly presented and visible at all times, with correct labels and pricing.
• Ensure merchandising displays are built, faced up, stocked and maintained.
• Maintain daily physical upkeep of store and merchandise displays, and be responsible for your designated stock in the store room as well as on the shop floor.
• Assist with back shopping.
• Ensure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved.
