Placements24 in Soweto is seeking a meticulous Retail Inventory Control Specialist to join our on-site team. You will manage inventory records, perform cycle counts, and ensure accuracy across the store, supporting availability and reducing discrepancies.

The ideal candidate has retail stock management experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of inventory principles. You will collaborate with receiving and sales to process stock and generate reports for management.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control or stock management within a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical stocktaking.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures for inventory control and loss prevention.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
• Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving items, and provide recommendations for inventory adjustments.
• Coordinate with the receiving and sales teams to ensure efficient processing of inventory.
• Generate regular reports on inventory status, shrinkage, and accuracy for management review.
