Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking a Frontline Supervisor for the Goodwood Store to support customer service and ensure a world-class shopping experience. You will liaise between management and cashiers, supervise daily cashier operations, record transactions with accuracy, and help mitigate fraud risk.

Essential requirements include Matric, 2 years cashier experience with 6 months shadowing a cashier supervisor, strong numeracy, MS Office skills, and willingness to work retail hours.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Minimum 2 years cashier experience, with 6 months shadowing a Cashier Supervisor.
• Sound numerical skills and accuracy.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report all customer compliments and complaints to management.
• Ensure branch queues flow smoothly.
• Pay attention to customer responses to cashiers and act accordingly.
• Manage shorts/overs at POS, including floats.
• Discrepancy management at the point of sale.
• Authorize line voids, tender ups and price overrides.
• Handle refunds and returns per procedures.
• Process all purchases (cash, card, vouchers, coupons, etc.).
• Ensure documentation control: drop registers, verifications, customer docs, and POS procedures.
• Ensure back shopping and returns are handled correctly.
• Ensure all outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned.
• Train and assist new cashiers.
