Job summary

Khula Human Capital is seeking a detail-oriented Retail Banking & Tender Reconciliation Controller to join our Finance team in Cape Town. This role entails reconciling daily cash-ups, verifying tender types, and preparing reconciliation reports.

Candidates should have a Matric certificate, a qualification in Finance or Accounting, and 2–5 years of relevant experience. Strong numerical ability and excellent Excel skills are also required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in retail finance, cashbook or reconciliation roles.
• Experience with banking reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily retail store cash-ups and banking transactions.
• Verify multiple tender types including cash, cards, EFTs, vouchers and alternative payment methods.
• Investigate and resolve cash-up variances and banking discrepancies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports.
• Support month-end processes and ensure compliance with internal controls and finance procedures.
• Liaise with store teams to resolve exceptions.
