Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Restaurant Operations Director Restaurant Consultancy Group – Cape Town – Western Cape An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and commercially focused Restaurant Director to lead the operational direction, standards and performance of a diverse hospitality portfolio operating across multiple concepts and projects. This senior leadership position is ideally suited to an accomplished hospitality professional with extensive experience in restaurants, hotels, resorts and luxury hospitality environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, guest satisfaction and strategic growth while ensuring consistent service standards across multiple operations. Working closely with senior stakeholders, project teams and hospitality leadership, this role will play a key part in developing new concepts, supporting hospitality projects and implementing industry-leading operational practices.

Job Description & Requirements

• Lead and oversee operational strategy, standards and performance across hospitality operations and projects.
• Drive restaurant and food & beverage operational excellence, profitability and efficiency.
• Manage budgets, labour costs, operating expenses and financial performance targets.
• Establish and maintain exceptional guest experience and service standards.
• Recruit, mentor and develop General Managers, Restaurant Managers and operational teams.
• Lead new restaurant openings, project implementation and operational development initiatives.
• Develop SOPs, reporting structures, controls and operational systems.
• Work closely with culinary and beverage teams to ensure quality and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and regulatory requirements.
• Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Business Management or a related field advantageous.
• Proven experience as a Restaurant Director, Operations Director, Group Operations Manager, General Manager or similar senior hospitality role.
• Strong background within premium restaurants, hotels, resorts or luxury hospitality environments.
• Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, labour costs, GP management and operational profitability.
• Willing and able to travel locally and internationally when required.
