Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and special education law.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to advocating for students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
• Provide targeted instruction and support in a resource room setting, focusing on academic and functional goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion in mainstream classrooms.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including progress reports and IEP documentation.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the student's education.
