Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents with varying disabilities.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Support residents in participating in community activities and social engagements in East London .
• Implement and review individualised support plans, ensuring they are person-centred.
• Administer medications as per care plans and organisational policies.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to the management team.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, respecting dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment within the residential facility.
• Encourage and support residents' independence and self-advocacy.
• Collaborate effectively with families, support networks, and external agencies.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in healthcare, disability support, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities in a residential setting.
• Demonstrated understanding of person-centred support principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of others.
