Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Residential Care Worker for a children-focused role in Rustenburg, North West. This on-site position supports vulnerable children in a residential setting, promoting safety, development, and wellbeing through daily care and structured activities.

You will work with the care team to implement age-appropriate learning, behaviour management, and engaging recreational programs, while maintaining accurate logs and complying with governing policies.

Formación

• Proven experience working with children in residential or foster care.
• Strong understanding of child development and behaviours.
• Excellent interpersonal and reporting skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct daily care for children, including supervision, hygiene, and meal preparation.
• Create and maintain a safe, secure, and emotionally supportive living environment.
• Assist children with homework and educational activities, encouraging their academic progress.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate recreational and developmental activities.
• Manage challenging behaviours constructively and implement positive discipline strategies.
• Build trusting and supportive relationships with each child, understanding their individual needs and backgrounds.
• Transport children to and from school, appointments, and recreational activities.
• Communicate effectively with the care team, supervisors, and external stakeholders regarding child progress and concerns.
• Maintain accurate and detailed daily logs and incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and licensing regulations for child care facilities in North West.
