The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is seeking a Reporting & Compliance Manager to drive HR transformation, ensure BBBEE compliance, and embed sustainability across the affiliate.

This role supports the HR Director and collaborates with key stakeholders to implement strategic HR, transformation, and sustainability initiatives. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR/BA/Sustainability or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 6–9 years HR experience.
  • Proven experience in HR transformation, change management, sustainability management, and compliance roles.
  • Strong understanding of BBBEE requirements and experience implementing related initiatives.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex initiatives to completion.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms; experience with sustainability reporting tools and compliance management systems is desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of local legislation; experience reporting on BBBEE requirements.
  • Proactive problem solver with a passion for sustainability — enjoys thinking out of the box.
  • Strong relationship builder across all levels of an organization and with an interest in external networking.
  • Can perform against tough metrics and within deadlines; comfortable working independently with regional reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HR transformation initiatives, streamlining processes and enhancing effectiveness.
  • Manage HR projects and provide change management support.
  • Drive adoption of key HR strategies and initiatives in collaboration with HR leadership.
  • Analyze data to improve efficiency and support organizational design.
  • Oversee compliance with labour laws and BBBEE legislation.
  • Track and report on compliance metrics (EE, WSP, SD, POPI, COID, etc).
  • Manage BBBEE audits, verification, and data integrity.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Support implementation of affiliate-wide sustainability strategies and programs.
  • Monitor sustainability performance and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate on sustainability reporting and staff engagement.
  • Manage HR vendor processes in line with Preferential Procurement standards.
  • Partner with senior leaders to align HR, compliance, and sustainability strategies with business goals.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to support transformation efforts.
  • Report on progress, risks, and key initiatives across compliance and transformation areas.

Job description

The Reporting & Compliance Manager plays a key role in driving HR transformation, ensuring regulatory compliance (including BBBEE), and embedding sustainability practices across the affiliate. Key Responsibilities
HR Transformation & Project Management
