Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller in South Africa. The role focuses on monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, consolidation, and presenting to Exco and Group stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a CA (SA) and at least 5 years’ experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic finance. Strong leadership and advanced Excel skills are essential to drive accurate reporting and robust controls.

Qualifications

• CA (SA) qualification is required.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong financial reporting and consolidations experience.
• Experience preparing management packs and executive-level presentations.
• Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Report to the holding company on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Compile divisional management packs and subsidiary reporting packs
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports to Exco and Group stakeholders
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Working capital analysis, cash flow management, and reporting
• Oversee procurement and capital expenditure processes
• Development, implementation, and maintenance of financial controls, policies, and procedures
• BBBEE reporting and Statistical SA return submissions
• Reporting on operational statistics and KPIs
• Providing support to the Financial Manager and Financial Director

• Compilation of divisional management packs and subsidiary reporting packs
• Preparation and presentation of monthly financial reports to Exco and Group stakeholders
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Working capital analysis, cash flow management, and reporting
• Oversight of procurement and capital expenditure processes
• Development, implementation, and maintenance of financial controls, policies, and procedures
• BBBEE reporting and Statistical SA return submissions
• Reporting on operational statistics and key performance indicators
• Providing support to the Financial Manager and Financial Director

Skills & Experience:

• 5+years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong financial reporting and consolidations experience
• Experience preparing management packs and executive-level presentations
• Excellent leadership and people management abilities
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems experience (advantageous)
