Job description

This role involves:

• Monthly end procedures including transaction processing up to trial balance
• Submission of monthly financials on MPC
• Analyzing and reviewing budgets and expenditures
• Supervision of intercompany accounts reconciliation process
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, and other monthly reports
• Involvement in the preparation of audit packs and tax packs as well as company statutory returns
• Liaising with business unit managers regarding various accounting issues
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and capital processes
• Recommending, developing, and maintaining financial databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
• Supervising the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems
• Interacting with internal and external auditors as well as implementing and maintaining sufficient internal control environments
• Managing of finance team

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience as financial accountant
• Minimum 3+ years’ motor industry experience (advantageous)
• Knowledgeable of tax calculations
• Strong on financial reporting and corporate governance
• Well-developed communication skills
• Strong ability to reason with numerical information to influence and enable business and financial decisions
• Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Qualification:

• BCom Accounting with commercial experience
• SAIPA + commercial experience (preferred)
