Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Renewable Energy Analyst in Bloemfontein to join our growing team. The role focuses on evaluating the feasibility and economic viability of solar, wind, and other renewable projects; performing market research, policy impact analysis, and financial modeling to support investment decisions.

You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, monitor KPIs, and contribute to strategic planning for the Free State region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in energy analysis, financial modeling or market research in renewable energy.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and modeling software.
• Familiarity with solar PV and wind energy economics.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze market trends, policy developments, and regulatory frameworks impacting the renewable energy sector .


• Conduct financial modeling and economic feasibility studies for proposed solar and wind energy projects .


• Evaluate the technical and commercial performance of existing and potential renewable energy assets.


• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to support investment decisions and strategic planning.


• Collaborate with project development teams, engineers, and external stakeholders.


• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for renewable energy portfolios.

Requirements
