Job summary

Milton Resourcing is seeking a senior payroll leader to shape and optimise payroll functions across the business. You will oversee a dynamic team, drive automation, ensure accuracy, and align policies with regulatory requirements.

This role offers substantial scope to implement strategic payroll projects, improve processes, and partner with finance and HR to deliver timely, compliant payments. You will lead end-to-end payroll activities, manage taxation and year-end reporting, and uphold strong

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification and/or payroll certification.
  • Extensive expertise in payroll systems, taxes, and complex processing.
  • Experience with payroll implementation and system integration.
  • Strong payroll programming skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance standards.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:
  • Maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll processing, including automation and streamlining of procedures.
  • Monitor and audit payroll systems for accuracy, integrity, and legislative compliance.
  • Lead payroll reviews, ensuring precise input and timely payments.
  • Implement and uphold remuneration policies, philosophies, and practices.
  • Manage the payroll and Time & Attendance systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
  • Oversee end-of-month, end-of-year, and tax-year payroll reporting, including financial reconciliations.
  • Develop, document, and improve payroll policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Manage departmental budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Foster strong communication and relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation across all payroll functions.
  • Lead strategic payroll projects and contribute to departmental planning.
Duties:
