Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Certified Personal Trainer & Wellness Coach to join a Durban-based wellness team in a fully remote role. You will design personalized fitness programs, provide ongoing coaching, and motivate clients to reach health goals from your own space.

You will conduct remote assessments, deliver customized workouts, educate on nutrition, track progress, and stay current with fitness trends while using Zoom or similar tools.

Qualifications

• National certification from a recognized fitness organization.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Personal Trainer or Wellness Coach.
• Ability to design and implement effective fitness programs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills.
• Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms and fitness-tracking apps.
• Knowledge of nutrition principles and behaviour change strategies.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients remotely.
• Self-motivated, independent work ethic in a remote setting.
• Passion for health, fitness and helping others achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote client assessments to understand fitness levels, goals, and limitations.
• Design and deliver customized workout plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Provide one-on-one virtual coaching sessions, offering guidance, motivation and accountability.
• Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Monitor client progress, adjust training programs as needed and celebrate achievements.
• Utilize online platforms and tools to deliver sessions and communicate with clients.
• Stay updated on the latest fitness trends, research and best practices in online coaching.
• Promote a positive and encouraging environment to foster long-term client adherence.
• Maintain accurate client records and session notes.
