Jobgether seeks a Video Editor/Storyboard Writer based in South Africa to craft performance-driven storyboards for paid social ads. You will define the visual and narrative flow, specify actor actions, and guide editors using stock footage, AI content, and motion graphics.

You will develop hooks and ad structures for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, iterating with performance data to improve engagement, retention, and conversions. Fully remote with flexible learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in storyboarding for paid social ads or performance campaigns.
• Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics (hooks, hold rate, retention, CTR, conversions).
• Experience with DTC brands/UGC-style advertising.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects is a plus.
• Strong written English and concise communication.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed, performance-driven storyboards for paid social ads, defining visual and narrative flow.
• Specify actor directions for each scene to ensure execution without extra direction.
• Provide production guidance to editors, including stock footage, AI content, and motion graphics.
• Develop hooks, angles, and ad structures for Meta, TikTok, YouTube based on winning formats.
• Use performance data to iterate concepts for improved engagement and conversions.
• Monitor trends in direct-response advertising across platforms and formats.
• Collaborate with marketing, editing, and copywriting teams to strengthen concepts.
• Edit video content in Adobe Premiere Pro as needed to realize storyboard concepts.
• Leverage AI-powered tools (avatars, voice, generative video) to enhance workflows.
• Manage multiple concepts, maintaining speed, quality, and consistency.
