You will work independently from a home office, collaborating with a global team of artists, designers, and engineers. The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio, proficiency in Houdini, Niagara, and Unity particle systems, and experience optimizing effects for Unreal Engine or Unity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a VFX Artist or similar role.
• Strong portfolio of real-time visual effects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard VFX software (e.g., Houdini, Niagara, Unity's Particle System).
• Experience optimizing visual effects for performance in game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and animation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and implement high-quality visual effects for games including explosions, magic, particle systems, and environmental effects.
• Utilize particle editing software and game engine tools to achieve desired visuals.
• Collaborate with art directors and technical artists to define VFX style and pipelines.
• Optimize VFX assets for performance across platforms and ensure smooth frame rates.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging real-time VFX technologies.
• Provide feedback to remote art team members.
