Placements24 is looking for a dedicated Remote Travel Consultant to serve clients across South Africa from a home office. You will design itineraries, book flights and accommodations, and provide seamless support before, during, and after trips.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Remote Travel Consultant to join their fully remote team, serving clients across South Africa . In this position, you will leverage your expertise in travel planning to design customized itineraries, book flights, accommodations, and tours, and provide exceptional support to clients before, during, and after their trips. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while contributing to amazing travel experiences. You will be a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their travel dreams are realized with seamless organization and personalized service, all from your home office in Pretoria or anywhere in the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, and needs, offering expert advice and recommendations.
• Research and book international and domestic flights, accommodations, car rentals, and travel insurance.
• Create detailed and compelling travel itineraries, ensuring all logistical details are covered.
• Provide pre-travel information and post-travel follow-up to ensure client satisfaction.
• Stay updated on travel trends, destinations, and supplier offerings to provide the best value and experiences.
• Handle client inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during the booking process or travel period efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar customer-facing role within the travel industry.
• Excellent knowledge of global destinations, travel products, and booking systems (e.g., GDS).
• Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of client requests effectively from a remote setting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in itinerary planning.
• Proficiency in standard office software and comfortable with technology for virtual communication and bookings, ideally based in or familiar with the South African market.
