Placements24 Tennis Academy in Benoni is seeking an experienced Tennis Academy Coach for a fully remote position focused on developing junior players and delivering high-level instruction. You will design training programs, track progress, and collaborate with parents and management to guide athletes toward competitive success.

The role requires 3–5 years of coaching experience, a certified coaching credential, and strong communication and tech skills to analyze technique and progress remotely.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience coaching tennis, preferably at an academy or junior competitive level.
• Professional tennis coaching certification (e.g., PTR, USPTA) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of tennis technique, strategy, and player development principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with young athletes and foster their development.
• Proficiency in using technology for coaching, including video analysis tools and online communication platforms.
• Patient and encouraging approach to coaching.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking player progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured tennis training sessions focusing on stroke technique, footwork, and strategy.
• Develop personalized training plans for academy players based on their individual strengths and weaknesses.
• Conduct regular assessments of player progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Organize and supervise practice matches and competitive simulations.
• Educate players on sportsmanship, discipline, and the mental aspects of tennis.
• Maintain detailed records of player performance, attendance, and development.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and academy administration regarding player progress and program updates.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in tennis coaching techniques and sports science.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive academy environment.
• Promote a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere for all participants.
