Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Telecoms Network Engineer II to join our client's network operations team. This fully remote role focuses on maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting critical network infrastructure from a home office.

You will work on TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and monitoring with SolarWinds/Nagios, while collaborating with a distributed IT group to ensure high availability and peak performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 4–6 years of professional telecoms network engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS and routing protocols.
• Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios) and network security concepts.
• Scripting in Python or Bash for automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) remotely.
