Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Telecoms Network Analyst to monitor, analyze, and optimize a large telecommunications network from a fully remote setup. You will use Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Nagios to track performance, generate insights, and drive improvements across South Africa.

The role requires 2+ years in telecoms network analysis, a technical degree, and strong problem-solving skills. You will collaborate with remote engineers to maintain high reliability and user experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of telecoms network analysis experience.
Proficiency with network monitoring tools.
Strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP knowledge.
Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Monitor network traffic, performance metrics, and system health using advanced diagnostic tools.
Analyze network data to identify patterns, bottlenecks, and potential areas for improvement.
Generate regular reports on network performance, capacity utilization, and incident trends.
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, collaborating with remote engineering teams.
