Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Advanced Telecommunications Systems Installer to remotely support and guide field teams in Soweto, Gauteng region and beyond. You will help install, configure, test fiber optics, wireless systems, and data networks while developing clear documentation and procedures.

The role emphasizes remote problem solving, strong communication, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote-first setup with occasional on-site supervision. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience installing/maintaining telecom systems (fiber, wireless, data networks).
• Able to read schematics and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of routers/switches/transceivers/antennas and related HW.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for telecom equipment installations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fiber, wireless, and data networks.
• Assist on-site personnel with configuration and commissioning.
• Develop and update installation guides and troubleshooting procedures.
• Monitor network performance and identify issues.
• Collaborate with PMs/engineers to deliver projects.
