Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Tax Accountant for a fully remote role within South Africa. You will prepare and file corporate and individual tax returns while ensuring compliance with SA tax laws.

Based in Pretoria in spirit, the position offers remote flexibility and collaboration with a globally distributed team. You will research tax planning strategies and advise clients on tax implications of business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation and SA tax qualifications or willingness to obtain one.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting.
• Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate and individual tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with national and local tax regulations.
• Conduct tax research and provide planning recommendations.
• Assist clients with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficient structuring.
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
