Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Industrial Engineer to optimize global supply chain networks and drive cost savings for clients worldwide. The role leverages a remote-first approach, collaborating with virtual teams of logistics experts, data scientists, and client stakeholders.

The candidate will analyze end-to-end processes, design data-driven solutions, and implement strategic improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of global supply chain operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement optimized network designs, routing strategies, and inventory policies to minimize costs and improve service levels.
• Utilize advanced simulation and modeling techniques to forecast demand, assess capacity, and evaluate the impact of proposed changes.
• Design and implement efficient warehouse layouts, material flow, and automation strategies.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to streamline processes and eliminate waste throughout the supply chain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of supply chain initiatives.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, performance dashboards, and KPIs.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to senior management and client teams.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management and industrial engineering.
