Job summary

Placements24 in South Africa seeks a skilled Sourcing Specialist to join the procurement team. This fully remote role involves identifying suppliers, conducting market research, and supporting contract negotiations to secure best value, while aligning with the remote-first culture.

You will build vendor relationships, analyze proposals, and assist in RFx processes, with at least 3 years' experience in sourcing or procurement. A business-related degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in sourcing, procurement or supply chain roles.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new suppliers through market research and due diligence.
• Develop and maintain a database of potential and existing suppliers.
• Support senior procurement staff in RFP and RFQ processes.
• Analyze supplier proposals and provide recommendations based on cost, quality and delivery.
• Assist in the negotiation of pricing, terms and conditions with selected suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
