Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Staff Accountant to join a fully remote finance team. You will maintain accurate financial records, prepare monthly reports, and collaborate with colleagues across time zones from a remote-first environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of accounting experience, a degree in accounting, and proficiency with QuickBooks or Xero and Excel. Strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge and excellent communication complete the profile.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS principles.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills for remote work.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities for virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Support the year-end financial audit process by gathering and organizing necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders using virtual communication platforms.
