Placements24 is seeking a creative Sports Marketing and Events Coordinator in Midrand, Gauteng to drive promotional activities and manage a portfolio of sports events. You will craft engaging campaigns, oversee brand presence, and coordinate logistics from local tournaments to regional competitions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, at least four years in sports marketing or events, strong digital skills, and a passion for sport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years in sports marketing or event management.
• Proven track record in developing marketing campaigns and managing events.
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in marketing and event management software.
• Passion for sports and a creative mindset.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to promote sports events, leagues, and brand initiatives.
• Create compelling marketing content, including social media posts, website copy, press releases, and promotional materials.
• Manage social media channels, engaging with fan bases and monitoring online conversations.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute all logistical aspects of sports events, including venue selection, vendor management, scheduling, and on-site execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with media partners, sponsors, and key stakeholders to enhance event visibility and commercial opportunities.
• Analyze campaign performance and event metrics, providing reports and recommendations for future optimization.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and return on investment.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify new marketing and event opportunities.
