Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sports Data Analyst to join their remote team. You will uncover insights from large sports data sets to inform performance analysis, scouting, and fan engagement, and help develop predictive models.

The role requires strong skills in Python or R, data manipulation with Pandas and NumPy, and experience with Tableau or Power BI to translate findings for coaches, management, and marketing.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Analyst, preferably with a focus on sports analytics.
• Proficiency in Python or R and data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
• Strong understanding of sports metrics and analytics.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sports-related sources.
• Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to identify trends, predict outcomes, and evaluate performance.
• Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with coaching staff and performance analysts to provide data-driven insights.
