Placements24 is seeking a Remote Solar PV Project Manager for South Africa. You will lead end-to-end solar PV installations from planning through handover, coordinating with internal engineering, procurement, and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years in project management in solar PV.
• Proven track record delivering PV projects.
• Strong knowledge of design, installation, and project finance.
• Familiarity with MS Project and Asana.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple remote projects.
• Knowledge of SA energy regulations and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of solar PV projects, including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, and manage resources effectively.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) and external stakeholders (suppliers, contractors, regulatory bodies).
• Ensure projects comply with all relevant safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and manage expectations.
• Conduct site visits and project reviews as necessary, adhering to safety protocols for remote work.
• Prepare project status reports and present findings to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
