Placements24 is recruiting a Remote Solar Farm Performance Analyst to optimize energy output across PV farms. The role is fully remote, requiring strong data analytics, solar monitoring software proficiency, and hands-on experience with PV technology.

You will analyze performance, predict issues, and advise O&M teams from anywhere. Ideal candidates hold a technical degree and at least four years in solar PV performance analysis, with expertise in PVsyst, Helioscope, and SCADA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience analyzing solar PV farm performance.
• Proficiency with solar monitoring software (PVsyst, Helioscope) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of solar PV technology including inverters, panels, and BoS components.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of solar PV farms using specialized software and data acquisition systems.
• Analyze KPIs such as energy production, availability, and efficiency.
• Identify performance deviations, root causes of underperformance, and potential system faults.
• Develop and implement strategies for maximizing energy yield and operational efficiency.
• Generate regular performance reports and provide insights to asset managers and O&M teams.
• Conduct comparative analyses between different solar farm sites and technologies.
• Collaborate with O&M teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely.
• Stay updated on latest solar tech, monitoring tools, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to developing performance analysis methodologies and reporting frameworks.
• Assist in forecasting energy production based on historical data and weather patterns.
