Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Blockchain Security Auditor to perform in-depth security assessments of smart contracts, dApps, and blockchain protocols. The role is remote with strong ties to the South African market and collaborations across various blockchain projects.

You will utilize static/dynamic analysis, code reviews, and fuzzing to identify vulnerabilities, producing detailed reports and actionable remediation recommendations. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a security auditor, pentester, or smart contract auditor.
• Knowledge of common smart contract vulnerabilities (reentrancy, overflow/underflow, unchecked external calls).
• Auditing smart contracts on Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Solana, etc.
• Strong understanding of cryptography and network security.
• Experience with security analysis tools/frameworks (Slither, Mythril, Foundry, Echidna).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive security audits of smart contracts and dApps across platforms.
• Analyze protocols and architectures to identify attack vectors and weaknesses.
• Use static/dynamic analysis, manual review, and fuzzing to find security flaws.
• Develop audit reports with vulnerabilities and remediation steps.
• Collaborate with developers to explain findings and guide secure coding.
• Stay updated on latest threats and best practices in blockchain security.
• Contribute to internal security methodologies and tools.
• Participate in threat modeling and security design reviews.
